The Atlantic Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) was formed in 1991 under a Letter Patent by the Consumer and Corporate Affairs Canada, becoming part of the global organization.

The Atlantic Chapter supports its members by offering annual education sessions, practical workshops, and networking. The annual Atlantic Tree Climbing Championships (ATCC) showcases climbers from across the region, with the top climber winning the opportunity to compete in the International Tree Climbing Championships (ITCC) representing the Chapter.
